He also called games for Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League in 2008 and for the Gateway Grizzlies of the independent Frontier League in 2007. Goldsmith graduated from Principia College in Elsah, Ill. with a history degree and then attended the Broadcast Center in St. Louis, where he earned a certificate in Radio Broadcasting and Production.
